What a Hoot!

I have not posted for some time because I have been unwell..... but I was looking on Pinterest, one of my guilty pleasures and decided it was time to start creating and stop pinning...... lol

Loving the new direction my jewelry design has taken.....  I was inspired by some pins I found on Pinterest and handcrafted some recycled owl pendants from antique watch plates, gears, sprockets, reclaimed beads and other recycled jewelry parts.

Well of course the day would not be a perfect crafting day without doing some kind of craft....

Kayman gave me a hand prying open some watches, on the search for watch gears, which I covet for making jewelry....

And Kayman finds fun in everything he does.....

Well it's my grandson Kayman's Birthday today, 13 years old.....  I can't believe he is a teenager....

We had a fun birthday dinner Bev, Kayman, Kiara and me.  KFC, Oreo birthday cake.......  doesn't get any better than that....

New Resin Jewelry

Made a couple of resin jewelry pieces with recycled watch parts....  I like them so far, but they need a couple more hours to cure....  Then I will finish them and turn them into pendants.......  So keep posted.

I realize that I have to go to Home Depot tomorrow to get a drill bit for my jewelry, my current drill bit is a bit bent.....  Not good.... :(

SO LUCKY....

I went to visit my sister Peggy yesterday and what an amazing gift she gave me.....

She decided that it was time to let go some of the treasures she has had for years, broken pieces of jewelry, odd earrings, pieces of chain and sooo many wonderful pins, gems, bling and wonderful treasures for me to use to create new one of a kind pieces of jewelry......  It's hard to get a picture of all the treasures she gave me, but here are a few pics......

I can't wait to get started, do keep checking in to see some new creations.

Resin Jewelry

Was so happy to receive my resin supplies from "little-windows"....

I covered collage pictures of paris that I purchased on Etsy......   I then created my first necklace with the resin pieces.

Resin is very fun and versatile; there is no limit to what you can create....  So keep posted, I will be making more in the coming week.....
